Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of PikaLearn (the "Service"), including the iOS and Android apps and this website. By using the Service, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use PikaLearn.

1. The Service

PikaLearn turns topics you enter into playable courses of short quiz levels, with progress tracking and optional social features such as races. Course content is generated and may contain errors. Treat it as a study aid, not an authoritative textbook or professional certification.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use PikaLearn only with a parent or guardian's permission where required.

3. Your account

Some features require sign-in (for example Google or Apple). You are responsible for the account you connect and for activity under it. Keep access to your sign-in method secure. You may request account deletion as described in the Privacy Policy.

4. Your content

Topics you type, answers you submit, and similar user content remain yours. You grant us a limited license to host, process, and display that content solely to operate and improve the Service for you (including generating courses and syncing progress). Do not submit content you do not have the right to use, or content that is unlawful or abusive.

5. Purchases and subscriptions

PikaLearn may offer an optional paid tier ("Plus") through the Apple App Store and Google Play. Prices are shown before purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel in your store account settings. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies. Entitlements are managed with RevenueCat in addition to the stores.

6. Acceptable use

• Do not reverse engineer, resell, scrape, or overload the Service.
• Do not attempt to access other users' data or bypass security (including App Check).
• Do not use the Service to violate any law or to harass others.
• Do not use automated systems to generate abusive volumes of topics or traffic.

7. Intellectual property

The PikaLearn name, mascot, artwork, design, and software are ours or our licensors' and are protected by copyright and trademark law. You may not copy or redistribute them except as allowed by these terms or applicable law.

8. Third-party services

The Service relies on third parties such as Firebase, RevenueCat, and the app stores. Their terms and privacy policies also apply to the parts of the experience they provide.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Generated lessons may be incomplete or incorrect. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PikaLearn and its creators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for Plus in the twelve months before the claim or (b) fifty US dollars (US $50).

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these terms or abuse the Service. You may stop using PikaLearn at any time. Provisions that by nature should survive (including IP, disclaimers, and liability limits) will survive termination.

12. Changes

We may update these terms. The "Last updated" date will change when we do. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms. The current version lives at https://pikalearn.com/terms/.
