Privacy Policy

This policy explains what PikaLearn collects, why we collect it, and the choices you have. PikaLearn is operated at pikalearn.com. Contact: support@pikalearn.com or Support.
What the app does
You type a topic. We generate a playable course of short quiz levels. An account lets you sync progress and use social features such as races with friends. Optional Plus unlocks more topic slots and extras.
Data we collect
- Account - email and provider IDs from Firebase Authentication when you sign in with Google, Apple, or another enabled method. Display name if your provider shares one.
- App content and progress - topics you create, course paths, answers, reports, and related progress stored in Cloud Firestore.
- Diagnostics - crash logs and analytics events via Firebase Crashlytics and Firebase Analytics.
- Purchases - subscription and entitlement status via RevenueCat and the App Store / Google Play. We do not receive your full card number in the app.
- Device and security signals - used by Firebase App Check to reduce abuse and automated traffic.
We do not use advertising SDKs, do not sell personal data, and do not request App Tracking Transparency for ad tracking.
How we use data
- Provide and sync the service (accounts, topics, progress).
- Generate courses and related server features.
- Process Plus entitlements and restore purchases.
- Prevent abuse and improve reliability.
- Understand aggregate usage so we can fix bugs and improve the product.
Processors
We use service providers to run PikaLearn:
- Google Firebase - Auth, Firestore, Functions, Analytics, Crashlytics, App Check, Remote Config.
- RevenueCat - in-app purchase and entitlement management.
- Apple / Google - app distribution and store billing.
These providers process data on our behalf under their terms and our configuration. We do not share your data with ad networks.
Local storage
Progress is also kept in a local database on your device so the app can work smoothly. Cloud sync is designed as an upsert-only shadow of that progress, not a silent wipe of what you have earned.
Retention and deletion
We keep account and progress data while your account is active. Logs and backups follow each provider's defaults. To request account deletion, email support@pikalearn.com from the address tied to your account (or describe enough for us to identify it). We will delete or anonymize personal data we control, subject to legal retention needs and store records we do not control (for example purchase receipts held by Apple or Google).
Children
PikaLearn is directed at ages 13 and older. It is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal data, or to object to certain processing. Contact support@pikalearn.com to exercise those rights. You can also review store privacy labels and Play Data safety disclosures for a summary of categories.
International transfers
Our processors may store or process data in the United States and other countries. Where required, transfers rely on appropriate safeguards provided by those services.
Changes
We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of PikaLearn after an update means you accept the revised policy. Material changes will be posted at https://pikalearn.com/privacy/.
